Meet Christie
M.S., M.Ed., LPC-S
Christie D. Brown was born and raised in Dallas, Texas in a single parent home. She was educated early in the Champion Child Development Center System and later transitioned into the Dallas Independent School District where she attended both elementary and junior high. After junior high, she attended and graduated from Duncanville High School. Post high school, she attended Texas A& M University-Commerce where two degrees were conferred to her: Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice & Masters of Science in Training & Development. She furthered her education by receiving a Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.

Her extensive career identity includes employment with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and acute inpatient psychiatric care. She has developed and assisted in the creation of several programs including H.O.W.W. (Helping Our Women Win) which is a skills based group serving women recently released on parole, successfully migrate back into society post release. She also has created a psychodynamic group titled, EmpowerHER. This is a transformative course designed to empower and inspire women to unlock their full potential, build confidence, and achieve their personal and professional goals. Each week focuses on different aspects of personal growth and empowerment, providing participants with practical tools, strategies, and support to create lasting change in their lives

She devotedly advocates that counseling should be as commonplace as breathing. Her objective is to bring counseling into uncharted territories, fostering mental health awareness and supporting others through collaborative teamwork to attain well-being, wholeness, and impactful transformation. Her aim is to pivot and propel others into their purpose.
